Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the Raythinks platform ("Service"). It forms part of the Terms of Service and binds every user of the Service.
The AUP exists to keep the Service safe, useful, and lawful for everyone. By using the Service, you agree to follow these rules.
1. General Principles
Use the Service:
- honestly — give accurate information at signup, do not misrepresent yourself;
- respectfully — Ray and the people who built Ray are not your adversary;
- lawfully — comply with all applicable South African and international laws;
- for your own decisions — the Service is for the account holder, not for someone else;
- with judgement — Ray is a thinking aid, not an oracle.
The rest of this AUP is detail. The general principles above are the spirit.
2. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Service to:
2.1 Harm people
- attempt to obtain information or assistance that would enable harm to yourself or others;
- attempt to obtain medical, legal, financial, or religious "advice" that could harm if relied upon without professional verification;
- elicit content that promotes violence, self-harm, suicide, abuse, exploitation, or discrimination;
- impersonate another person.
2.2 Break the law
- engage in any unlawful activity;
- infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- distribute or facilitate distribution of illegal content;
- evade sanctions, export controls, or other regulatory regimes.
2.3 Misuse the AI
- use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or threatening;
- use the Service to generate content for fraud, scams, deception, or manipulation of others;
- use the Service to create sexual content involving minors, non-consenting persons, or any content prohibited by law;
- use the Service to create content that impersonates a real person without consent;
- use the Service to generate content that misrepresents the Service or its origin (for example, claiming Ray gave you advice it did not actually give).
2.4 Attempt to extract or replicate
- attempt to extract, copy, reverse-engineer, or replicate the system prompts, design, knowledge base, or underlying logic of the Service;
- attempt to bypass safety logic, content filters, or rate limits;
- use prompt injection, jailbreaks, or similar techniques to manipulate Ray's output away from its intended behaviour;
- scrape, harvest, or otherwise systematically extract output from the Service for purposes other than your own personal decision-making.
2.5 Abuse the service
- create multiple accounts, including to obtain additional free trials or circumvent plan limits;
- use the Service via automated means (bots, scripts) without our prior written consent;
- generate excessive traffic that degrades the Service for others;
- attempt unauthorised access to systems, data, or accounts not belonging to you;
- introduce malware, malicious code, or attempt to compromise the security of the Service;
- abuse the refund policy.
2.6 Use the Service on behalf of others
- use the Service to seek decisions for another person without their knowledge and consent;
- submit personal information about a third party that you are not authorised to share;
- use the Service to compile information about another person.
2.7 Misrepresent the Service
- claim that Ray endorses you, your views, or your products;
- present Ray's output as professional advice from a qualified human;
- present Ray's output as a religious ruling or fatwa from a qualified scholar;
- use the Raythinks name, logo, or branding without permission;
- imply a relationship with Raythinks (Pty) Ltd that does not exist.
2.8 Commercial misuse
- resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Service;
- use the Service to operate a competing decision-intelligence product;
- use the Service for high-volume commercial decision-making without an enterprise arrangement with us;
- use the Service in a manner that violates the terms of our third-party AI providers.
3. Content You Submit
You are responsible for the content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you confirm:
- (a) the content is yours to submit, or you have authority to submit it;
- (b) the content does not infringe any third party's rights;
- (c) the content does not violate any law;
- (d) the content is not knowingly false or misleading;
- (e) the content does not contain malicious code, executables, or harmful payloads;
- (f) the content is not designed to manipulate Ray's output for purposes prohibited by this AUP.
You are responsible for the consequences of submitting content that breaches the above.
4. Specific Examples
To remove doubt, the following are examples of what is prohibited under this AUP. The list is illustrative, not exhaustive.

5. Reporting Violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP — for example, by impersonating you, by misusing your information, or by abusing the Service — please report it to hello@raythinks.ai.
We will investigate reports in good faith and take appropriate action. We respond within 5 business days.
6. Consequences of Violation
If we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may:
- (a) warn you and ask you to stop the behaviour;
- (b) suspend your account temporarily while we investigate;
- (c) terminate your account permanently;
- (d) refuse refund of any unused subscription period (see Terms of Service section 4.5);
- (e) report the violation to law enforcement where required by law;
- (f) pursue legal remedies including injunctive relief and damages.
Where reasonably possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach before terminating your account. Serious breaches — including those involving harm to others, illegal activity, or attempts to compromise the Service — may result in immediate termination without notice.
7. Right to Change This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time as the Service evolves and as we learn what works. Updates are notified to active account holders by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after an update indicates acceptance.
